Colorado Springs exploring is now over. We visited the Air Force Academy Chapel and U.S. Olympic Training Center for one last hurrah @ CS. We grubbed down on Buffalo Wild Wings before heading out of CO for the meantime and onward to Sidney, NE to visit with Lou's family.
The chapel was exquisite. It sits on the mountainside, overlooking the valley below. Of course, the kids didn't take well to the need for quiet, so the interest for this place waned VERY quickly. Dylan and Sophie had more interest in the U.S. Olympic Training Center, especially because of the timing. There were performance machines that measured visitors' physical abilities against the average Olympian. The Spirit Store was loaded with Beijing Summer Olympics merchandise. Dylan had his heart set on buying a gold medal of his own, and of course, Sophie-So had to be JUST like her big bro.
Dylan now considers himself a gold medal olympian. (smile)
On the road to Sidney (travel time 4 hrs).
Isn't it funny how a parent is suddenly all too willing to give whatever junk the kids want all for the sake of quiet?
It's total R&R over here in Sidney now, catching up with the rest of Lou's fam. (There's not much to see here in this humble little town.) Although, I have undertaken ANOTHER project and have rummaged through boxes and boxes of old photos in the hopes of printing out a heritage album for the Ochoa family. We'll be here until Sunday, when we will head back over to Colorado's Keystone Resort and a visit to Lake Dillon and Breckenridge.

I'm so jealous of all the fun you are having!!! I love keystone, thats where my old job sent me the last few years although the snow was nothing like Ut it is still beautiful with all the mountains!!! We miss you guys! It's not the same outside without ya! (now that there isn't a chance for you to become "dirty"!)
