Adventures in Laminate Flooring Part I

We were optimistic heading into Buy Direct Flooring, a local store, since we had success with them in the past when we purchased the carpet for the basement earlier this year. We quickly lost our taste for the place when we had the ultimate displeasure of being "helped" by the biggest douchebag of all douchebags, TODD. Apparently, he is the nephew of the owner of the establishment, and feels it gives him the right to treat paying customers like they are way below his stature. I won't go into details...but the guy's a shmuck. Anyway, if anybody wants to do business with them, just make sure it's someone else who helps you.
But it still worked out in our favor. This has forced us to look elsewhere and we found an awesome deal at Sam's Club. They didn't have the exact shade of planks we were looking for, but the price won out in the end...$27/box versus $54/box at Lowe's and Home Depot for the same square footage! And Buy Direct quoted us for $1500 more than the total price for this stuff. Woohoo! And the underlayment is already attached.
Twenty boxes unloaded into the house later, the 48 hour wait for the planks to acclimate to the temp inside is driving me nuts! I am so excited to start laying it all down!!!!
I can see light at the end of the tunnel, folks! Before you know it, the floor will be done and then it'll be time to put the Xmas tree up!
