L has always been the go-to for bedtime with the girls. After the sun sets, my patience has already worn quite thin, and my patient hubster is always more than willing to tuck them in their beds and read stories and sing songs. So you can imagine the disappointment when I am at the helm of bedtime routines while L is away.
Thanks to the USO's United Through Reading Program, the girls get their dose of Daddy's book reading skills even from across the world! The package came in today and all three kids HAD to watch it NOW and not wait 'till bedtime.
L is such a thoughtful father. Instead of just grabbing some random book off the shelf, he carefully picked out one that he knew would appeal to our resident lion (Soph).

Bedtime Stories
It's so great that there are programs like these available to separated families like us. The kids have random moments throughout the day when they are craving Daddy, and because we can't just pick up the phone so they can speak to him, at least I can just pop a DVD in and they can get some time with him this way.

Look at their faces!! I can't tell at all that they adore their Dad . . . (wink wink). What a great program they have set up to help you stay connected.
